Project Brief

Moon cottage County Galway is an enchanting Historic property, this charming, romantic 18th century property was recently renovated by our team, reinventing its old-world beauty to fit modern day living while preserving original character & charm. With locally sourced Liscannor stone throughout the main house and all outhouses complimented by state of the art under floor heating, the combination of old world blended with modern convenience is strongly apparent.

Our clients’ brief was to incorporate high impact lighting throughout, allowing these to be the main feature in each space with a whitewashed finish to all original walls to simplify their statement. Brass & gold fittings were used in all bathrooms with stunning gold veined marble slabs imported from Italy to the shower areas. ,

The furniture was kept to a minimum to allow the feeling of space & light. Rustic Four poster beds in the master Bedroom of the main house & Guest House give the feeling of old-world grandeur without the glamour and glitz.

While we loved working on this project, transforming the interiors & breathing new life into tired country dwellings, it goes without saying that the natural landscape surrounding Moon Cottage is the real showstopper.
